02-11-19: Bears finished as the #2 seed in the NECHA Colonial South. Our game against UCONN has been moved to Wednesday 13JAN19 due to forecast inclement weather. The game is at the Champions Rink in Cromwell CT at 2110 (upper deck). While we understand that hockey is a winter sport, UCONN is not amsterdam tulips allowed to host the game if school is cancelled due to weather. Rescheduling was prudent to ensure we get the game in before the weekend and determine who moves forward to the NECHA semifinals.

02-09-19: Bears are @ University of New Haven this afternoon at the Bennett Rink 1 McDonough Plz West Haven, Connecticut 06516. This game determines seeding for the playoffs among the top three finishers in the Colonial South Conference. The Bears amsterdam or paris are slated to travel to UCONN on Tuesday 12 February for the NECHA Colonial South Quarterfinal game to determine who moves on to the playoffs in Nashua NH the 16th and 17th.

The Bears moved into the 8th spot on the most recent ACHA DIII rankings for the Atlantic. The top 2 teams are invited directly to nationals, while the 8 teams in the #3-#10 spots on the 21 February rankings will be invited to Regionals to compete for the remaining two Northeast spots for the national tournament.

CGA returned from break with a home win over MIT Friday and then traveled to Webster Bank Arena to record a 10-2 win amsterdam netherlands over SUNY Maritime and a 4-2 win over Mass Maritime. The wins carried home the SLOT championship in a maritime focused tournament this year. This coming week has WPI 5:45 on Wednesday at Dayton Arena and Middlesex 5:45 on Thursday at Dayton Arena (the game times were adjusted to accommodate ref and rink needs) . The Bears are off for the MLK long weekend after this stretch of 5 games.

CGA is on break this week for the winter holidays returning to campus on Sunday January 6th. The next game is scheduled for Friday 11 January 2019 vs MIT at Dayton Arena which kicks off 5 games over 7 days to start the semester. The team travels to Bridgeport CT on Saturday and Sunday for the Service Leaders amsterdam walmart of Tomorrow tournament with SUNY, Mass Maritime, and Navy. The United States Coast Guard Academy is one of five Military Service Academies. As a Service Academy, we focus on recruiting student athletes with strong moral character and leadership skills to produce Commissioned Officers in the United States Coast Guard. In addition to the four year top notch education, every student will spend approximately 10 weeks each summer honing their leadership skills and spending time side by side with active duty Coast Guard members completing our everyday missions.

Summers are memorable with travels and adventures that take students all over the globe. While at the Academy, time is highly amsterdam 14 day forecast regimented, but students graduate with a Bachelor’s of Science with a heavy emphasis on math, science, engineering, and commissioning as an Ensign with associated service in the US Coast Guard for the next five years. Our hockey program is an ACHA Division III member school, playing in the North East Collegiate Hockey Association (NECHA-South Division). The team generally plays a 20-25 game season, traveling to states all around the New England area, playing schools such as Worcester Polytechnic Institute, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Springfield College, the University of New Haven, the University of Connecticut, the Naval Academy, the Merchant amsterdam map Marine Academy and Massachusetts Maritime Academy. Hockey is one of the more popular sports within the student body of our school, the games are generally well attended, and we are competitive within our league. As a club sport, we are an excellent program for the most competitive hockey player to one who is still honing their skills.

The coaches for the Ice Hockey Team have attended the Coast Guard Academy, played for the team, and are active duty members of the U.S. Coast Guard. Each coach is part of the faculty or cadet staff and stay involved in the success of each hockey player on and off the ice. There are very few schools that will have the teacher/staff ratio that you get at the Coast Guard Academy.
