This position provides a great opportunity to work in a day support service for adults with intellectual disabilities supporting full access, participation and community engagement of individuals based on personal choices and interests. This position provides direct assistance to persons primarily in brokering community resources, helps individuals identify and pursue interests, and explore resources that help them become an active member in the community. In addition to implementing individual support plans for clients in center-based and community settings, the incumbent teaches new skills; addresses behavior interventions using positive programming and promotes self advocacy in the community. Personal care assistance is required. The position requires creation of individual support plans and goals, evaluation of progress, and ability to document services appropriately. Region Ten is seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented individual to serve as the Director for our Wellness Recovery Center. The incumbent will supervise and coordinate the daily operation of a 16-bed 24-hour residential crisis and acute stabilization program serving adults experiencing a mental health crisis. Responsibilities include the development and coordination of programming to ensure a safe and secure service delivery for consumers admitted through voluntary or Temporary Detention Order ( TDO) processes. The incumbent has responsibility for daily operation, to include hiring, training, and supervision of staff, coordination of court hearing within the facility, ensuring compliance with all licensure and regulatory standards, and effective facility management. Master’s degree in a related human services field required. All candidates must hold a related license (e.g., LPC, LCSW, RN, Psychologist, Psychiatry). Five years’ experience managing an acute/crisis stabilization program is preferred. Must have a valid VA driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
