Bombardier Business Aircraft’s Fort Lauderdale Service Centre was established February 1995 and is located in “The Venice of America”; the gateway to South and Central America. Located at Fort-Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, the Fort Lauderdale facility is winner of several FAA Diamond Awards. The 133,552 sq ft facility’s 180+ dedicated employees are equipped to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, modifications, including interior modifications, avionics installations, and Aircraft on Ground (AOG) support for Bombardier Learjet, Challenger and Global aircraft.

The Service Centre has received certifications from FAA, EASA, Argentina, Aruba, Bermuda, Brazil, Cayman Islands, Chile, Mexico and Venezuela. In your role, you will: Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, the Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for providing generalist HR support to staff and line management, primarily in the implementation of core HR processes; recruitment, compensation, employee relations, labor relations, training, performance management, etc. The incumbent will interpret and apply policies and procedures. The role will vary from site to site based on local, business and HR priorities. As the Director’s prime sounding board and trouble shooter, the incumbent will focus on high priority/high complexity projects: process improvement, procedure development, issue resolution, coaching of line management, training, and labor relations. • Research and respond to questions from employees and managers regarding Human Resource programs, policies and procedures; establishes and maintains effective work relationships within department and all employees • Manage the process of recruiting and selecting qualified job candidates in a timely and cost-efficient manner for all exempt and non-exempt personnel; ensures all recruiting practices are in compliance with applicable laws and company policy; develop and implement recruitment strategies with hiring managers to include interview teams, job postings, external advertising, and act as liaison with sourcing agencies • Administer employee benefits programs for exempt and non-exempt personnel • Develop and maintain orientation presentation. Conduct new employee orientations, ensuring all necessary forms are completed and returned; ensures that hiring managers are informed of their orientation responsibilities • Conduct exit interviews for departing exempt and non-exempt personnel for evaluative purposes • Maintain daily/weekly contact with Payroll regarding payroll corrections, time off reports, and any other items that need to be addressed. Maintain records of time-off requests and changes to be sent to Payroll • Coordinate all immigration requirements with IMM, legal counsel, and employee • Answer employee questions regarding interpretation and procedures for the company Share Purchase Plan; ensure all required forms and legal documents are supplied, and resolve any problems or questions related to the Plan Qualifications As our ideal candidate, • You have at least 5 years professional and progressive experience with Bachelor’s degree in related field or 7+ years professional and progressive experience in related field • You have computer skills necessary to learn and/or operate word processing spreadsheet, database, email, and web-based applications • You have interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, employees, management, and contractors • You have recruiting, hiring, and interviewing experience required Bombardier is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
